At the beginning of 2022, the Graduate Student Association (KMP) held the Inauguration of the Graduate Student Association Board for the 2022 Period, conducted virtually via Zoom Meeting.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Anik Ghufron, M.Pd., Director of the Graduate School, conveyed several key points that should serve as the foundation for the Graduate Student Association throughout its term of service. He emphasized that the KMP of UNY Graduate School is an organization rooted in togetherness and family values, serving as a platform to strengthen relationships among Master’s and Doctoral students.

Furthermore, Prof. Anik highlighted that KMP should focus on mutual support, collaboration, and cooperation in realizing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service—guided by the principles of academic autonomy and freedom of expression in academia. He also expressed hope that KMP would play an active role in facilitating graduate students to achieve high academic performance (GPA) and timely graduation.

“The KMP board, in collaboration with the Graduate School leadership, should work together to make it easier for students to complete their studies smoothly. And don’t forget to create essential and meaningful programs,”
added Prof. Anik.

This year’s KMP leadership is chaired by Shodiq, S.Pd. from the Master’s Program in Educational Technology (S2 PTK), with Nurdin, S.Pd., M.A. from the Doctoral Program in Educational Research and Evaluation (S3 PEP) serving as Vice Chairperson, and Agustina Setiawati, S.Pd. from the Master’s Program in Educational Research and Evaluation (S2 PEP) as part of the core management team.

KMP’s Vision for 2022 is “To realize scholars who are devout, independent, professional, and internationally accomplished.”
Its Mission includes strengthening the religiosity, independence, and intellectual capacity of UNY Graduate School students; empowering their potential and creative-innovative ideas; advocating for student aspirations; building internal and external networks; and contributing meaningfully to society.
