A doctoral student of the Educational Research and Evaluation (ERE) Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY), Sumin, who also serves as a lecturer at IAIN Pontianak, successfully nobled the Summa Cum Laude distinction after defending his dissertation titled “Assessment Model of Work Culture Values at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.” This remarkable achievement reflects Sumin’s exceptional academic dedication and excellence.
Sumin’s dissertation presentation impressed the examination committee, which consisted of distinguished professors: Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M. Kes., AIFO. (Chair/Examiner), Prof. Dr. Guntur, M.Pd. (Secretary/Examiner), Prof. Dr. Heri Retnawati, M.Pd. (Promoter/Examiner), Prof. Dr. H. Rohmad, M.Pd. (Copromoter/Examiner), Prof. Dr. H. Wajidi Sayadi, M.Ag. (Chief Examiner 1), and Prof. Dr. Aman, M.Pd. (Chief Examiner 2)
In his dissertation, Sumin developed an assessment model to evaluate the work culture values within the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The research aims to make a significant contribution to strengthening and optimizing the implementation of work culture values within the ministry. The proposed model is not only theoretical but also practical, enabling its direct application to enhance performance and service quality across the institution.
The dissertation defense, held at the GS UNY, was attended by academics, fellow students, as well as Sumin’s family and colleagues. During the session, Sumin confidently and convincingly addressed various critical questions from the examiners, demonstrating her deep understanding and scholarly contribution to the field of work culture value assessment.
As Chair of the Examination Committee, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M. Kes., AIFO., expressed his pride in Sumin’s outstanding achievement. “Sumin’s dissertation offers a highly valuable contribution to the development of an assessment model for work culture values, particularly within the Ministry of Religious Affairs. We hope this model can be implemented and bring about a significant positive impact,” he stated.
