Dr. Ezi Apino has achieved the first Summa Cum Laude distinction of 2025. In the 1005th Doctoral Promotion Examination, held on January 15, 2025, Ezi successfully defended his dissertation entitled “Model Asesmen Literasi Statistik Mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika” before the Board of Examiners chaired by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO.

Ezi’s dissertation introduces a novel concept in developing an assessment model to measure statistical literacy among mathematics education students. The research aims to provide a concrete solution to improving the quality of mathematics education, particularly in assessing students’ understanding of statistics.

During the session, which was marked by intellectual enthusiasm, Ezi presented his methodology, findings, and the educational contributions of his proposed assessment model with clarity and depth. The examination committee, led by Prof. Siswantoyo, highly appreciated the rigor and relevance of the research.
